Welcome
Greetings to you all in the name of Jesus, who is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.  We trust that your visit to the Church of the Good Shepherd website exposes you to a deep sense for the love and power of the Christ. It is our desire that you truly experience the magnificence of His power at work within you.  We hope your visit with us is one that produces blessing in your life and in an insatiable appetite for more of Him.

Recommended Book
Among Beth Moore's very best-selling books to date is "Believing God," a powerful study of Isaiah 43 and Hebrews 11 that centers on one simple yet bold question: do you believe God or merely believe in Him? Moore explains how God's plan is for the believer's life to really work so all will know His promises are entirely true. When we begin to take God at His Word, the result is a fresh, contagious explosion of faith.

And now the enduring favorite is available in a convenient day-by-day reading format, reminding us time and again that God is bigger than we can imagine and faithful to be who He says He is, do what He says He can do, and help us be who He says we are. Believe it!

Communicating with the Lord.

Because the Christian life is a supernatural life, the only way to live it is by means of supernatural power.  No one can live the Christian life in his or her own power and natural strength because we are dead in our trespasses and sins, Ephesians 2:1.  God must empower us to live with His power.  He brings us to life, and then He indwells us and enables us to live His kind of life.  “When we obey His command, He gives us His presence without limit.  The filling of the Holy Spirit is His enabling.” (Will Pounds)

So, what are some of the ways we communicate with God?

Youth Pastor's Blog

"The Church of Tomorrow" or "The Church of Today"

People often point to the youth as the “church of tomorrow.” I have even referred to them in the same manner. We tend to lump all the teens into that group and talk about the church of tomorrow is going to do big things. We talk about how they are going to rise up and dance and sing and shout the name of Jesus Christ to all the nations. I think we need to get rid of the “church of tomorrow” tag that we apply to them. Instead, we need to look at our youth and realize that they are the church of today!
